The aggregate quarry located near Havelock, Ontario quarries an aggregate deposit known as “basalt,” or more commonly referred to as “trap rock.” It's a very hard, durable material which makes it valuable in a variety of applications.

Our Havelock site quarries basalt for use in rail ballast (which is the crushed rock poured between railroad ties to complete the bed on which trains run on), rock wool insulation, high-quality asphalt mixes for use on airport runways and high-traffic volume highways, as well as concrete mixes.
