Asphalt is most commonly used in the construction of roads, walkways and driveways. It acts as the ‘glue’ that holds aggregate products together. Asphalt can even be used in a variety of waterproofing applications and it comprises the majority substance of most roofing shingles.
With our asphalt plant located in Norwood, we're able to supply and deliver a wide range of asphalt and specialized asphalt products to Peterborough and the surrounding areas in a timely and efficient manor.
Q: Are there different types of asphalt for roads vs. driveways?
A: Yes there is a difference. A driveway mix contains more sand to give your laneway that smooth finish.
Q: Does my asphalt driveway require maintenance?
A: Once your driveway is paved it shouldn’t require any maintenance.
Q: How often should I seal my driveway, if at all?
A: We don’t recommend sealing a new driveway. Sealing chokes the asphalt and stops its ability to breathe and expand with the different weather conditions.
